The Cortona Sessions Composition Program is designed to provide composers with high-quality premiere performances in conjunction with a valuable and educational professional experience. Students accepted as participants into the composition program will enjoy the following:

  • world premiere of 2 new works written for the workshop. One to be performed by Beacon Ensemble and one to be performed by one of our guest performers.

  • Recordings (audio & visual) of performed works

  • Coachings with performers

  • One-on-one lessons with composition faculty

  • Access to presentations/lectures by faculty

  • Valuable friendships and opportunities for professional development
