Beacon Ensemble is a Boston-based new music ensemble dedicated to crafting engaging narratives through exciting performances of 20th and 21st-century music. We focus on providing opportunities for early-career musicians and artists in New England and beyond, offering them chances to engage in commissions and participate in meaningful, career-enhancing projects.

Our largest program, Beacon New Music Festival, is a contemporary summer music festival bringing together composers, composers and other creative practitioners from across the Northeast for a week of collaboration, experimentation, and friendship.

Beacon Ensemble is a fiscally sponsored project of the Beacon Hill Friends House, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides opportunities for spiritual deepening, personal growth, and collective action.
